What Our Scale Partnership Revealed
  • Autodesk Cloud and their desktop tools (Revit, Civil 3D) operated as separate environments — engineers were managing file movement manually with no automated synchronization path.
  • The Integrated Carbon sustainability platform had no mechanism to automatically pull updated data from Autodesk's own sustainability APIs — teams were working with stale carbon analysis data.

Cloud-Desktop Automation: Built an integration layer that monitors cloud-side triggers and executes synchronized operations with Revit and Civil 3D via their respective APIs. Handles large file transfers with chunked upload/download and resumable operations.

Browser File Visualization: Used WebGL-based rendering pipeline to convert Revit/Civil 3D file formats into browser-renderable geometry. Implemented progressive loading so large models display incrementally rather than blocking on full parse.

Background Data Sync: Scheduled job architecture with retry logic and change detection — only pulls delta updates from Autodesk sustainability APIs rather than full refreshes, keeping sync fast and API quota efficient.
